Abstract:
Icing is a crucial phenomena both for environmental or indusstrial contexts. It often involves the coupling between capillary flows and phase change leading to complex pattern formation. We will discuss different (simple) configurations where this coupling drives the dynamics and will particularly address the (macroscopic) wetting property of water on ice.
